Lunch Line by Kim Long-Ewing

How long have you been making art/comics/writing?

Photography has been a life-long passion. I’ve been writing stories and committing acts of random poetry since the early ’80s. I wrote my first comic script about six years ago.

Do you have a comic available currently, and what is it about?

Urban Fey
Factions within the newly formed Urban Court have, at least for the moment, stopped fighting with one another. Now Lord Neon and Lady Hestia must convince the rest of the Fey to accept them as a distinct and separate Court.

Lord Oberyn of the Grand Court refuses to acknowledge them until they are recognized by each of the Traditional Courts – those of the Forest, Jungle, Prairie, Mountain, Coastal, Wetland, Desert, and Arctic.

Will they succeed in winning the hearts and votes of their peers or will they be used as pawns in the ongoing political battles between the Fairy Courts?

If you were a My Little Pony, what would your cutie-mark be ?

The figment of my black-hearted imagination.

Where do you go for inspiration?

Music, dreams, watching the world around me.

What was your favorite cartoon(s) /comics as a kid?

We didn’t have cartoons when I was a kid…

OK, that’s a lie. I loved Bugs Bunny.

Fave cartoon and/or comics now?

This is a tough one to narrow down.

I love so many comics – Digger, Bold Riley, Lotus Root Children, Freak Angels, The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal.

These are just a few that come to mind. I love the storytelling and art in all of these.

What motivates you?

I have a theory that I might one day exhaust my Muse who will then beg for a vacation.

Do you take commissions?

I draw stick figures which I doubt anyone would actually pay me for. But I would take commissions for photography.
